The planning starts
The BALE PUSH 2019 starts
rolling on the 13th September 5pm
The final event in the Bale Push calendar is the Presentation Evening at The Bowgie Inn.
The sunshine helped to make the 19th Crantock Bale Push 2018 another great success on Friday 14th September when the village was full of people of all ages enjoying the fun of rolling huge straw bales through and around the village streets!
COMMITTEE MAKES SELECTION
So 2018 will see us making donations to FLEET [Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust] in memory of Phil Eustice, SANDS [Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity] in memory of Dexter Hughes and to Young People Cornwall to support the their work with Cornish Children. We will of course, be making donations other of local organisations.
The Final Event on the Calendar
This is always a very special evening - a time to get together again after our September event and to catch up with old friends and enjoy a yarn! The evening starts with a photo session in front of the Bale Man with all the Committee and recipients of cheques with the iconic Goose Rock as the back drop. We then head inside the Bowgie for the actual presentation of the cheques to the representatives of the selected organisations / charities for 2017. As many of you will know we had hoped to reach the magic figure of £100,000 raised since the event began in 2000, and we are delighted to announce that we have done it!! We have waited until the Presentation Evening to announce this as it always takes a while after the event as we have money to pay out and money to come in!
