This year could be a very special year for the Bale Push as we hope to reach the magical figure of £100,000 raised and donated to local charities and organisations—we are at present on £92,000! This would not have been possible with the generous support from our advertisers, sponsors, participants and the people of Crantock.
With the time clock ticking away very quickly to our eighteenth Bale Push we are on target with our preparations [such famous last words!]. We have selected the main organisations for this year -Crantock Christmas Lights Fund, Cubert School and CLIC Sargent, plus we will be making our usual local donations.
Committee members are busy working behind the scenes to get the Bale Push Magazine finished and off to print - it will should be ready in early August, plans for the Bale Push Man are progressing well - look for him at the Trevemper turn-off in late August, and we have had our usual Health and Safety site inspection in the village to check on the layout and have redesigned some areas.
This year we have invested in some collection boxes - so look at for these in the Village Stores and our local pubs and maybe put in a few spare pennies.
We will have our usual stalls in the village - one from each of our main organisations and our food stall with pasties, lovely burgers, cakes, coffee etc.
