As many of you will know we always support Cornish based charities, organisations and individuals. We feel it is important that all as the money is raised in Cornwall it should made available to help Cornish people. As there are so many good causes to support it is always difficult to make a final decision and this year has been no exception! However, for the 2016 Bale Push we have chosen Cornwall Hospice Care [in memory of Father Morley], Motor Neurone Disease Association [Cornwall Branch]and Help Izzy Walk as our main organisations. We will of course be making our usual donations to Crantock SLSC and Holywell SLSC and other local organisations. Here is a little information about each one….

Crantock Bale Push aims even higher in fun Fundraiser

This Press Release was released to the Cornish Media this Morning.

Crantock Bale Push 2015 is hoping to beat all previous records once again in its highly enjoyable and celebrated annual Fund Raising event in the centre of beautiful Crantock village.

Last year alone an astonishing £10,000 was raised and distributed in the hugely popular Crantock village event, 'It is astonishing that such a wonderful sum was raised by the record number of 147 teams in one evening,' said Chairman Nigel Eustice.

Parkinson's UK Mid Cornwall

We first supported Parkinson's UK Mid Cornwall Branch in 2007 and again in 2010. The Mid Cornwall Branch has recently celebrated its offers the opportunity for Parkinson's suffers and their families you to meet other people in the area, get information and support as well as take part in activities. The services of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly PCT and the support given to people with Parkinson's disease in Cornwall are excellent. Cornwall has a superb team of doctors headed by Dr Doug McMahon, who has a real passionate interest in Parkinson's as well as three Parkinson's nurses, a Parkinson's nurse consultant, a specialist physiotherapist and an occupational therapist.

This time last year I hadn’t the first idea of what I was letting myself in for – THE BALE STOPS HERE said my beautiful red T shirt – and when it came, I hadn’t ‘been there and done that’ yet – it was all to happen. So, dutifully did I turn up, with my husband who provided the necessary bulk and stability for the job, to discover what it was all about.

September 19th – A big day for the people of Scotland. Today was the day that Scottish citizens had their referendum. Although they voted to stay in the UK, the whole business has stirred things up in Cornwall. You’ll never guess what’s happened over at West Pentire. They’ve decided that they want their own referendum! They want to declare independence from Crantock. I wouldn't mind... But West Pentire is nothing like Scotland. Well there are a few chaps up there who wear skirts. I think that's just a weekend thing.
